Mommy, am I really bipolar?

The article we read is called "Mommy, am I really bipolar?".
According to the article, hundreds of thousands of children in the US have been wrongly diagnosed with the trendy disorder called bipolarity.
Kaplan, a psychiatrist, says that nowadays people are way too excited with bipolarity.
Some children who have been wrongly diagnosed with bipolarity are taking prescribed medication that is not effective in kids and has unwelcome side effects.
The thing is that, according to the article, it's nearly impossible to distinguish between children alleged to have bipolar disorder and those who have straight forward anger-control issues.
Due to that, The American Psychiatrist Association is looking forward for a new diagnosis for kids: something like "extra irritability in children".

  2. Many of these children are simply spoilt kids who have never been grounded and who are not used to hearing the word NO.They grow up in a fairy-tale world. When things don't turn up to be the way they expect to, they simply blow up and have "anger control issues"! So, let's say NO to our kids and show them that life is hard!
